I know that many people decide to ban premium rate phone numbers. Luckily most of the phones have this option nowadays. It is a kind of lock on a phone that makes calling premium rate phone numbers impossible. And I must say that I am glad that I have such phone too. I remember that about ten years ago I had this problem with phone bills. I was wondering why those phone bills were so high an then It turned out that someone was calling those premium rate phone numbers. Nobody wanted to admit who it was. Anyway we even consider not having a phone at home. It was the time when cell phones were starting spread through the country and everybody in our home had one. So the old phone was not a must for us. But many of our friends were using this number and we decided to buy a modern phone which had such lock for those premium rate phone numbers. And I must say that since then we receive regular phone bills. I am still curious who was calling those premium rate phone numbers and I do not know if it was my husband or one of our kids. Anyway I am glad that somebody invented this electronic lock. I am pretty sure that many people have now easier life thanks to that. The one thing is sure that my life is easier since I do not have to bother with this problem.
